Ingredients

plantains sliced diagonally

cups
vegetable oil
1
stick
butter
¾
cups
sugar

cinnamon

packages
pie dough crust
Instructions
Place sliced plantains into hot oil to fry. Don't over fry like I did this time around.
Place fry plantains next to a cutting board
In a bowl mix melted butter, cinnamon, and sugar
Cut pie crust dough into 2 inch sections
Add butter/cinnamon/sugar mixture to dough with a brush
Add plantains to dough on half of the dough
Cover the plantains with the other half of the dough
Roll plantains and dough and place them in cupcake liner
Complete this process until you have 24
Use the rest of the butter mixture and generously brush over plantain
Tent cover so it doesn't burn and place in the oven at 300°
Uncover for a few minutes and let it brown
Remove from the oven and create your tree

Notes
For the lights, I used holiday collection Skittles from Walmart
Don't fry your plantains too much. This time around I overfried them
Use overripe plantains as they will be sweeter
