Weekend brunch for friends and family: I was so excited and caught up in the moment that I forgot to take photos of all the food, before it was way too late. 😀 Here’s a sampling of what I prepared and served: souse, carrots and cabbage, bread, bakes, avocado, cucumbers, saltfish, rice and pigeon peas,dumplings, peas and pigs tail, fried snapper, provision: breadfruit, green plantains and dasheen, pineapple, papaya and watermelon (not photographed), stewed oxtail. It was all washed down with squash (homemade lemonade).

Over the weekend, I hosted a birthday seat down dinner for a friend. We dined al fresco. I prepared, appetizer- green plantain cups stuffed with smoked herring; soup - pumpkin soup with yellow yam, smoked pork and dumplings; main course, curried seafood - lobster, shrimp and scallops; dessert - chocolate cake infused with Guinness stout.
